The IPC has also received direct funds from the Swiss government in 2007 and 2009 and the German government in 2009.
Several NGOs have also supported financially the IPC, among which: Action Aid, IUCN, Norwegian Development Fund, NOVIB/Searice, Oxfam Solidarité, Oxfam UK, Vredeseilanden.

Since the IPC does not have a legal entity, some Organisations with a history of working on Food Sovereignty issues guarantee the legal framework of the IPC. The Centro Internazionale Crocevia (CIC) and the Associazione Italiana per l’Agricoltura Biologica (AIAB) are the main partners in Italy helping the IPC to implement its activities. Regional Consultations were carried out thanks to the commitment of a local partner that worked as host organisation. Since 2008, the IPC is studying the possibility to provide the Secretariat with a structure with a legal entity exclusively for administrative purposes in order to be able to deal directly with the contracts with donors and with the IPC staff.
