En collaboration avec FIAN Ouganda et le Network of Public Interest Lawyers (NETPIL), nous avons organis\u00e9 une r\u00e9union avec les membres du Parlement des r\u00e9gions des lacs afin d&rsquo;exprimer nos inqui\u00e9tudes concernant le projet de loi sur la p\u00eache et l&rsquo;aquaculture de 2021, dans l&rsquo;espoir qu&rsquo;il aggrave la situation des p\u00eacheurs en Ouganda. La r\u00e9union de strat\u00e9gie l\u00e9gislative a rassembl\u00e9 un total de 20 membres du parlement et 10 autres parties prenantes, y compris des hommes et des femmes de communaut\u00e9s de p\u00eacheurs s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es, pour partager leurs t\u00e9moignages et exprimer leurs aspirations sur ce qu&rsquo;ils aimeraient voir dans la loi r\u00e9glementant la p\u00eache. Le 3 mai, deux jours apr\u00e8s la r\u00e9union, le projet de loi a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9pos\u00e9 au parlement. Plusieurs de leurs recommandations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 prises en compte et le projet de loi a \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9 avec des amendements incluant le retrait des militaires de la gestion des p\u00eaches et l&rsquo;\u00e9limination de l&rsquo;utilisation de la force raisonnable par les agents de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 dans la gestion des p\u00eaches. Leur compromis a pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 l&rsquo;usage excessif de la force par les militaires pour contr\u00f4ler la p\u00eache ill\u00e9gale en Ouganda depuis 2017, suite \u00e0 une directive pr\u00e9sidentielle. Cela a entra\u00een\u00e9 l&rsquo;expulsion de plusieurs p\u00eacheurs de leurs activit\u00e9s de p\u00eache, parfois la fermeture de sites de d\u00e9barquement et la destruction de biens et de vies.
